GRANT AID

Following a request from The Norfolk and Norwich Association for the Blind the Council has given a £200 grant to help with the provision of accommodation, care, educational and recreational facilities.
NEW OWNERSHIP, NEW NAME

The track of land between the Cricket Ground and Wilks Farm Drive has been purchased by the Parish Council who have made an application to call it Millennium Loke. It will provide a rear service access road for the Council's maintenance vehicles to both the open space at Barkers Lane, Wilks Farm Drive and the Millennium Woodland as well as a pleasant walk for those on foot.

It is the Council's intention to have the Oak trees lining the track assessed by a tree surgeon and to arrange for any necessary work to be carried out. The hedge and verge cutting will be incorporated into the existing grounds maintenance programme.

An outline planning application for 1233 new dwellings including link road, recreation areas, primary school, open space and other associated works has been submitted. A copy of the proposed development can be viewed at the Council Office.
